Hello, my name is Michelle and I’m the founder of Ugly Duck Fine Foods - a passion driven food manufacturer on a mission to fight food waste.
We exist to rescue ugly, unloved Australian grown fruit and vegetable and turning them into outstanding deliciousness.
In 2017, 795,000 tonnes of fruit produced in Australia was rejected at farm level. Globally, almost half of all fruit and vegetables produced are wasted. Approximately 8% of greenhouse gases heating the planet are caused by food waste – in Australia alone, over 5 million tonnes of food ends up as landfill every year.

I don't like tomato sauce so I use this Plum & Chilli as a base on my pizzas. It's delicious and my friends agree. I've been buying and using it for years and it lasts longer than the expiry date so don't discard it too soon. I buy multiple jars at a time so I never run out. The little jars are small, but that allows it to keep fresh for longer.
I’m so glad we found this product. The first time I smelt it I was instantly reminded of homemade jams from my childhood. I only wish I had a fresh scone and cream right there and then to slather it on. We love it.
We’ve just found Ugly Duck products and tried the pastes. The smoky apple is so delish, love how they suggest it what cheese to try it with on the jar. Loved this paste!
I bought some bottles for Christmas presents but they will be hard to part with. So far, this stuff has regularly been spread on roasted potatoes and avocado rice cakes, dolloped onto a bowl of rice and avocado and chick peas and used as a dip for carrot and cucumber sticks. The flavour has the right balance of savoury intensity and mild sweetness. Everything was packed very securely too.
I purchased this for a gift. The recipient was blown away with how delicious these condiments are. I would highly recommend. Postage and communication was fantastic.
