A single backyard tree for fruit supply
We have a single Jaboticaba tree in a family members backyard to supply us with this unique tasting fruit. Understandably our fruit supply is seasonal and limited. Jaboticaba trees are stunning during flower and fruit, with both taking place directly on the trunk of the tree.
Jaboticaba is native to Brazil and thrives in our subtropical climate. I always describe the flavour as a mix between sour cherry and black currant, high in tannins and slightly peppery.
